Project 365: Day 3 ~ I made it before midnight. Picture of a picture. I saw this on a calendar at work and loved the picture. It also had me craving seafood.

Project 365 Day 1 was not so bad. I had a really funny group of boys, one of which was my own son. Erik and his friends thought they could take some tough guy pics but I kept them laughing pretty hard the whole time. They are not tough guys yet.

It's the last night of the year and I have been thinking for weeks about getting back to the things I love. Most importantly my love for photography. Each day my life is filled with so many things to do and places to go, but I have decided it's time to slow down at least enough to take a picture a day for the entire year. Project 365 has been around and many of my friends have tried it and loved it. I'm sure this will be tough but I know I can give it my best shot. There won't always be a picture from my big fancy camera, but instead from my Sony pocket camera and some from my iPhone. I love the iPhone and sometimes when you need a picture taken it's the only thing in my purse. I believe cameras are only a tool for what the eye sees. So tomorrow will be a new year and my first picture post of 365 days. Wish me luck!

Our son started middle school two weeks ago. He was very excited and nervous at the same time. I was only NERVOUS. He has grown so much and it was hard to believe he was off to middle school. I made sure I took my annual back to school picture a few minutes early, so I would not embarrass him in front of the other kids on their way to the bus stop. As we finished taking our picture and the kids started to come outside and walk to the bus stop, my son walks over to me and gives me a big hug and says, "l love you mom." He must have known I needed that before I went on my way to work. Still a great kid!

I just had to mention the cute girls he would see in middle school. What a spark in the eyes and the smile!
